The median annual wage for web developers was $92,650 in May 2025, so half of workers earned more and half earned less. The lowest-paid 10% earned less than $48,100 and the highest-paid 10% more than $162,290. As an hourly rate, the median is $44.54. About 70,190 people work in this occupation nationwide. The highest state medians are in Washington ($130,440), Virginia ($128,380) and California ($119,570). Washington also comes out on top after taxes and local prices.
