How much do millwrights make?

The median annual wage for millwrights was $65,700 in May 2025, so half of workers earned more and half earned less. The lowest-paid 10% earned less than $46,290 and the highest-paid 10% more than $93,600. As an hourly rate, the median is $31.59. About 40,330 people work in this occupation nationwide. The highest state medians are in New Jersey ($107,540), New Mexico ($90,230) and Michigan ($89,190). After taxes and local prices, though, a median paycheck goes furthest in New Mexico.
