The lowest-paid 10% earned less than $29,430 and the highest-paid 10% more than $75,990. As an hourly rate, the median is $20.84. About 175,070 people work in this occupation nationwide. The highest state medians are in Wyoming ($82,290), Rhode Island ($77,850) and Massachusetts ($60,900). Wyoming also comes out on top after taxes and local prices.
