How much do residential advisors make?

The median annual wage for residential advisors was $42,240 in May 2025, so half of workers earned more and half earned less. The lowest-paid 10% earned less than $29,870 and the highest-paid 10% more than $61,060. As an hourly rate, the median is $20.31. About 84,760 people work in this occupation nationwide. The highest state medians are in New Hampshire ($49,010), Minnesota ($48,770) and Washington ($48,640). After taxes and local prices, though, a median paycheck goes furthest in North Dakota.
