How much do industrial engineers make?

The median annual wage for industrial engineers was $102,440 in May 2025, so half of workers earned more and half earned less. The lowest-paid 10% earned less than $74,370 and the highest-paid 10% more than $159,860. As an hourly rate, the median is $49.25. About 365,740 people work in this occupation nationwide. The highest state medians are in Alaska ($156,510), Washington ($129,050) and Oregon ($128,290). Alaska also comes out on top after taxes and local prices.
